We watched this (at someone else’s house) and wondered what the hell it was all about. There was no story line and no direction.

No they are targetting 16 - 24 because those are the most easily manipulated. Older people question and challenge things they say, younger people are much less likely too.

I think it's significant that so many successful past BBC series simply wouldn't be "woke" enough to be made these days.
When your aim is to offend no-one, the result is to entertain no-one.
