A cyclist ventured outside to capture the surreal imagery of the empty streets of the Icelandic capital, Reykjavik.
As Reykjavik resident Muhammed Emin Kizilkaya's cycled through the streets of the Icelandic capital on the morning of March 21, he couldn’t believe the eerie silence and complete emptiness.
Due to self-isolation and people being quarantined in their homes in order to combat the coronavirus pandemic sweeping the entire globe, the usually bustling capital resembled more of an abandoned ghost town.
Muhammed said: “I have never seen the streets almost completely empty since I moved here in 2013. It was so surreal.
