Cracking down on fare evasion versus fare hikes, it seems like the MTA has absolutely no understanding on what’s going on between those two situations! If they keep complaining about losing money, yes the fare evasion is a problem but fare hikes are too because not everyone can afford to pay the fares! And the ones who do pay the fares are just getting angrier and angrier about having to pay and having to pay more!
