Brilliant New Medieval Mod Just BLEW ME AWAY! - Anno Domini 919AD Total War Review

There is a brand new Medieval mod out for Total War Attila on the Age of Charlemagne DLC campaign. Western Europe is in total turmoil, the Fatimids have invaded and taken full control of Sicily, with their eyes set squarely on the rest of the Italian peninsula. The British isles and France have been overrun by Vikings and Normans, Spain has been torn apart by Visigoths and Moors and the Magyars, a nomadic threat from the East is burning and pillaging through Germania.

In this video we’re going to talk about Anno Domini 919 AD. An overhaul that comes with a totally new campaign map with loads of new factions, new start positions with all of their rosters fully updated to look authentic to the time period and oh my god do they look good.

Hope you enjoyed watching it and found it informative. If you did give it a like and drop any comments or questions below let me know what you think of Anno Domini 919AD! Subscribe to the channel for more total war content just like this. And thanks for watching guys!

I love how positive your tone is while you're describing the most depressing year in history 😂

Cheers! Never even knew there were mods available on Steam, until this video. Bought Attilla and Charlemagne now, just so I could get this.

Been playing this mod since the day of release, and I must say the textures of the unit models are the absolute best that I’ve seen of any Total War mod to date. Even as an avid DEI player, the textures of the armours are the most crisp I’ve ever seen. This just makes me that much more hyped for Anno Domini 1051, it’s going to be a truly special mod when released.

Glad you got to this! They have a “Rome Era” sub mod for it that makes it very hard lol the models are so great. Fun mod, just wish they had it on the GC map

This is looking really good!

I did spot that some of the faction descriptions are a bit off, though. The Umayyad one is anachronistic and exaggerated. But on the whole this mod looks excellent!

Really loved the map. It is amazing to see after few months of realizing ways to add new settlements we have such a mod. Big thumbs up for the team

Wish they had made use of the new campaign modding tool to expand the campaign map eastward and southward a bit.

I've been trying it myself. A bit disappointed it doesn't fix my only issue with Charlemagne that was the bland building chains and complete lack of choice, everything is built in the same way in pretty much every province. Also a bit disappointed they didn't have new unit cards, it's all vanilla AoC which is a disservice to the really cool looking units they've created.
I don't want to be negative, but at times it feels like a reskin more than a new campaign. I know they are still working on it, but those areas I mentioned could definitely use some work, and maybe flesh out factions a bit more, rosters are still very limited like in vanilla AoC.
