All the years I've been installing these, I've never actually opened one up.that was quite interesting!

RCBO, it's new for me . In Indonesia we simply call it MCB, Miniature Circuit Breaker .

Most was already named. The resistor seen on 0:15 on the left upper corner is to limit the current on the bypass of the RCD coil which is used when you press the test-button.

I find the whole assembly fascinating, the arc dissipator thingy is genius and the circuitry is made quite failproof overall without melting fuses

I guess the key components would be
- Bimetalic strip for slow overload protection, i think it's in RCBOs too?
- The coil for fast overload protection and short circuit protection
- The current transformer for current leakage detection with it's circuitry made with SCRs as the shorting component usually
- The arc disipator heatsink, to stop the arc as fast as possible

It's interesting that in English it's called RCBO. In my native language it is called after an acronym that stands for
"Automatic Switch Thermal Magnetic".

If you took out everything but the switch, you'd have a Chinese breaker.

Fun fact: it was invented in 1923 by Hugo Stotz in Deutschland, which is why in Deutschland and Switzerland they call it "stotz"

Да ты монстр!
Я тоже в 5 лет любил так делать, но т.к. дрель была тогда ручная и то не увсех, я делал это молотком.😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄🤣🤣
