Not mentioned here is how their manager Stan Polley caused many of their $$ issues. Ham left a suicide note that said, "Stan Polley is a soulless bastard."

Bad Finger was a GREAT band but had a terrible manager.... I wish this kind of music was still made today.

Another member of the 27 club. Takes a lot of talent to to be a member of that club....not to mention loss and sadness. 😢

We listen to Bad Finger a lot. Reminds me of my childhood. Wonderful memories.
I didn't even know about that, so tragic and heartbreaking. And another 27 year old.

Pete Ham, another example of get your own lawyer. Ham was owed thousands by WARNER and Apple. Got completely screwed over.

NO ONE mentioned the fact that BADFINGER hit the charts again in 2013 because their single "Baby Blue" was the outro for the grand finale of "Breaking Bad". Pete Hamm also played guitar with George Harrison at the fundraiser concert for Bangladesh, he and Alan "Blind Owl" Wilson from Canned Heat are the most deserving and least mentioned members of the 27 club.

Pete Ham joined the 27 club. Predated Kirt Cobain in membership.

Many of the members had death by misadventure. 😖

Thuy Trang had a car accident 😐
RIP to all the members 🙏

Another 27 Club member, but unfortunately one who you don’t hear about as often/doesn’t get the recognition they deserve in general.

Wow, what a tragic story! I just went and listened to "no matter what" and "day after day" and realized I've heard these songs over the years without knowing it was them, which I think is a testament to their success. Also, Joe Jackson's "Breaking Us In Two" sounds just like Badfinger's "Day After Day". I hope Joe paid them at least a few bucks for rights. 😊

Too bad he didn’t just stay with us, eh? His band mate Tommy too. Now he’d see how much his music is appreciated . Very sad. Such a permanent solution at such a young age. And their kids, so Tragic.

You can totally tell Come and Get It was written by Paul McCartney. Day After Day and No Matter What are great songs!

How horribly tragic! It's disgusting to hear of artists who were taken advantage of by their managers and record companies. They weren't business savvy; they were artists and supposed to be looked after by their managers instead of exploited and robbed. Peter Ham was so talented. He was and will forever be missed.
