Introducing Spark MINI Vai

Perhaps 18 months or so ago, I got one of these little Spark MINI practice amps from Positive Grid. I really liked it and ended up getting 3 of them, one for backstage warm up, one for the bus, and one in my luggage for the hotel room. It was all I was hoping for in a little practice amp. They sound great, have playback, an app to change the tones, a headphone jack and portable enough to carry around easily. I used to use those little portable digital pocket amps but they were complicated and never sounded good, so… voila! The folks at Spark reached out to ask if I would be interested in creating a signature series Spark Mini and I liked that idea. So I’ve been working with the good folks at Positive Grid to make a Spark MINI Vai.

I’m not a good salesman. I’m usually uncomfortable suggesting things like this to people, but I like this little mini so much and I am a guitar player… and odds are, so are you. So I had to tell you about this.

1993 i was jr. high and i used a little red sony cassette/radio player (3.5 mm to 1/4) put mic on the front of the speaker and had a blast that prom night

I have a similar tiny combo with BT from VOX and it really is a useful thing to have. Small, portable, sounds decent, enough tone configuration and effects, especially over the app. One thing they should add, maybe a separate accessory is wireless system instead of cable, for a portable device going wireless is super useful.

Just watched a video of your collection of guitars and thought I'd offer a bit of advice. I keep some of mine on the wall but notice they get dusty fairly soon and often. Since that would be a major headache to clean all the time, I thought, it would be nice if I had a clear casing with doors over each guitar. Mabey even a humidifier inside too.
