I’m from Sweden and work in a small custom shop and I refuse to join IF Metal because I don’t like bullies. The collective agreement is not required by law and is up to the company if they want to sign or not. This is such bullshit the reason is that IF metal is afraid of loosing power!!!

Actually, my friend that bought a white Tesla model 3 year 2022, white, had similar issues. Small rust dots all over. When I researched it, it's also caused by brake dust from trucks that gets stuck and rust..

I recently installed rooftop solar on my sister's house in southern California. I'm a DIYer, not a pro. The bureaucracy was a nightmare that took a full year from applying for the permit, to receiving permission to turn on. Fortunately, I was still able to get NEM 2.0 because I started the application with SCE before the deadline, but it took a lot of emails and complaining to avoid being pushed onto NEM 3.0. During final inspection I asked the inspector how many DIY solar jobs he's seen and he replied "you're it".

I have the Cybertruck since Feb 3rd. It’s surface contamination. Same as on my white cars I also own. A decontamination wash is always the first step after taking delivery of one truly cares.

Years ago Ford had the same issue with small rust spots showing up on the paint of the cars. Found it was rail dust, came off the wheels of the freight train cars floating up and sticking to the car. The Ford body shops were given explisit instructions on how to repair and not have to paint. Not a big deal, easy to clean and remove the fine rust.

On the rust that is seen on the cybertruck, this is actually the most common form of rust seen on stainless steel. Good stainless steel doesn't experience general corrosion. It will experience pitting and also "free iron contamination" which are the spots seen in the videos. If the environment continues to be corrosive, these contaminants could become pits. It is hard to keep stainless steel contaminant free. The steel mill usually pickles and passivates the stainless and then they should be wrapped for protection (a plastic film is usually applied to the stainless) against free-iron-contamination. Once contaminated, they are very hard to get rid of and would require some kind of pickling process to get rid of them. Not sure if the Bar Keeper's Friend contains the necessary chemicals (an acid). In the video Monroe did when they toured the Tesla plant I remember them saying they don't have a protective plastic film on the stainless. I think Tesla has to look at ways to keep the stainless contaminant free during the manufacturing process. Even contact with rollers and moulds (unless they are not steel) could cause contamination pickup unless the mould/roller surfaces are covered. Welcome to the world of Stainless Steel. BTW, has anyone done a chemical analysis of the alloy? I am curious as to the Cr., Ni, Mo & C content of the alloy.

Every car l’ve owned always had small rusty dust like particles clearly being thrown from the front wheels, the brake dust, sticking to the painted body panels.
Which I simply clean away with a good car wax/cleaner.

Hey, I watch every episode and find them interesting. I have a question: are there plans for the other automakers that have gotten on board with the Tesla charging standard to move there ports to the left rear or right front to elevate the need to take up two spaces at the chargers?
I haven’t heard anyone take on this problem and announce a solution.

I live in Sweden and all that the union had write is a lie, Tesla still goes out and repair there client cars and body shops are taken in any Tesla and repair then. 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅

Rust problems? Hardly!!! I work for a new car dealer and had a concerned customer call me several weeks after taking delivery of their new vehicle and wanted to show me that it had started rusting already, they came in and showed me the spot they were concerned about and very insistent it was rusting until I showed them it was on the plastic but painted bumper cover.
