Mountaintop Roman Theater of Sagalassos | Burdur Türkiye 🇹🇷 Turkey

High above the city of Sagalassos is the amazing ruined mountaintop Roman Theater of what is probably one of my favorite ancient sites I have seen. There are several small cave tombs carved into the cliff side. Sagalassos Turkey was absolutely incredible. With it's functioning fountains and explorable ruined theater. Today we went to what turned out to be one of my favorite ruins I have seen anywhere in the world. The ancient city Sagalassos was absolutely incredible and we had it completely to ourselves. One of the few sites I have ever seen that not only had some statues still in place. But they also had a beautiful, functional fountain. Then the cherry on top was that incredible crumbled theater at the top of the mountain. This site should be on everyones bucket list when visiting Turkey. Sadly this site, and many other ruined cities in Turkey are skipped by most tourists.
