I'm an alcoholic but have been sober 11 months now without drinking a single drop. And I had been drinking since I was 15 and I'm 39 now. It can be done! You guys struggling, you can do it! If I can, anybody can!

Dear Mr. Perry, I am a recovering alcoholic and addict. Your message in this video will touch so many of us AA's. Your fearless moral inventory that you have written in your book will be your amazing legacy sir. Now, you are out of pain. Meet you on the other side.
Peace be with you.

At 22 I saw a destructive pattern starting to form and decided to cut alcohol out of my life for good. Happy to say I’m 3+ years sober, and I’m so grateful I’ll never have to see what going down that path would’ve done to me.

True. Lost my husband to it. So sad that Matthew is gone but glad that he no longer has to fight his addiction daily. RIP Matthew 😢🙏🏻💔

Matthew, , / Chandler, You were a big part of my young adult life. Thank you for all the times you made me laugh. I share your struggles with addiction and hope I get through as well as you did. We will always remember you and rest in peace.

We are all subject to addiction. It is a fundamental mechanism of the human brain and _very_ hard to override; even impossible for some.
I really liked Chandler - a wholesome and relatable character with humility and wit.
It all came from Matt.

God bless you, Matthew. Thank you for speaking out. In 2023 it's ridiculous that addiction is still so misunderstood in America.
You brought such joy to so many of us. I'm really sad at your passing. RIP, dear Matthew

I will remember you as someone who helped. The therapeutic value of one addict helping another. You did. Thankyou🙏♥️

Having had PTSD for 7 years. I never turned to drugs or alcohol. I fought off temptation every day. I don't think you are weak, I think you were unhappy and couldn't say no because saying yes made your happier. Life is about choices. If you need help to make those choices reach out to the experts. But remember, you need to want to say no and find happiness without it.

There’s more strength in mental focus than people believe. Like Matthew says we can change but we must believe we can. We are that strong.

Having an actual real addiction is no joke. It basically means you are out of control. Very scary stuff. Can be Extremely difficult to overcome.

Poor sweet man. Addiction is a horrible disease. My poor ex husband lost so much to cross addiction. He’s sober now, but it took a lot out of him. I’m so sad about Matthew Perry- such a talent.
