🎼 LYRICS:

“Well I'm not the kind to kiss and tell, but I've been seen with Farrah.
I've never been with anything less than a nine, so fine.”

“I've been on fire with Sally Field, gone fast with a girl named Bo.
But somehow they just don't end up as mine.”

“It's a death defying life I lead, I take my chances,
I'd die for a living in the movies and TV.
But the hardest thing I ever do is watch my leading ladies, kiss some other guy while I'm bandaging my knee.”

“I might fall from a tall building,
I might role a brand new car.
'Cause I'm the unknown stuntman who made Redford such a star.”

“I never spent much time in school but I taught ladies plenty, it's true I hire my body out for pay. Hey Hey!”

“I've gotten burned over Cheryl Tiegs,
blown up for Raquel Welch.
But when I wind up hittin' the hay, it's only hay. Hey Hey!”

“I might jump an open drawbridge,
or Tarzan from a vine.
'Cause I'm the unknown stuntman who made Eastwood look so fine.”

“They'll never make me president but I've got the best first ladies,
some days I've got 'em as far as the eye can see.
A morning dive with Jackie Smith, I crash in the night with Cheryl,
but in the end, they never stay with me.”

“And I might fall from a tall building so Burt Reynolds don't get hurt,
I might leap a mighty canyon so he can kiss and flirt.
While that smoth talker's kissin' my girl I'm just kissin' dirt,
yes, I'm the lonely stuntman that made a lover out of Burt.”

📼 INFO:

Full version of the theme to 1980s TV show 'The Fall Guy' which was trimmed to roughly half its length to accompany the opening credits. As luck would have it, though, a mash-up of the clip sequences for Series One and Three fits the extended audio precisely.
The self-deprecating vocals were released as a single by the star and co-producer Lee Majors (still in remarkably good shape and getting regular parts at the age of 83) in the role of stuntman and bounty-hunter ‘Colt Seavers’ - so the video concludes with a sentence or two from a recent documentary [Fun-Fact: the track was also used as the theme to the 'Craig Ferguson Radio Show'].

This poor song triggers so many childhood memories... I used to play Colt, my friend Dennis was Howie and my little sister was Jodie of course. We used to drive around on our bikes, sneaked around the neighborhood and fought imaginat criminal enemies like in the TV-series, always saving each other out of danger. Now I'm 44 and my Kids play very different stuff today. And now the tears are dropping on the display...

I love it. But I have admired Lee Majors all my life. From the.time I was a young girl watching him riding horses and roping. I even named my 1st Guinea pig Lee Majors when I was 12. I worked at our local zoo and was able to bring them home. I also started working with the ponies and horses there. That's where I got my start in horses. I walked the ponies for $5 a week. Everyday. 6 am to 7 pm where we got to ride the horses after we were finished with the ponies. For the day. I loved Lee Majors all my life. I'm 63 now and he's wow 84 who would have thought. I just finished watching "Harris Down Under" It was awesome.

The fact that a new version of this was in the movie(although a lot of the lyrics from the 1982 series weren't there).... AND they got Majors back for a bit role. It's insane

Well.... 40 years I wondered what was the name of this show that we, Czech children residing in the communist Czechoslovakia near the West Germany borden, watched every Monday on German ZDF tv in 80's... together with all the western commercials :).. oh we loved it so much although we barely understood German.... this was the real US soft culture victory over the Eastern block

You can never beat the original! I loved the theme song, plus Lee Majors did a great job of singing this! The nostalgia makes my quite teary eyed.
