Teams also receive an allocation of GAM, General Allocation Money and TAM, Targeted Allocation Money. There is also the matter of Designated Players whose remuneration can exceed what would normally be achievable within the capped allocation. But how does it all work?

I hope you get into the complicated ways this affects actual players, such as discovery rights and the recent addition a few years ago (based on bargaining with the players association) with a limited version of free agency for league veterans (finally). And the probably unthinkable concept for Europeans of player trades. Good simple introductory video with no extra fluff. I like it
