Lock Haven University Homecoming 2018

October 19-21, 2018 Lock Haven University held its annual Homecoming Festivities.The alumni events kicked off Friday morning with the 24th Annual Alumni Golf Tournament and Kraft & Karry at Belle Springs Golf Course, before shifting over to Water Street, along the river, where students, alumni and the Lock Haven Community came together for the Friday Night Block Party and Pep Rally. Over 30 local vendors participated with great food, great fun for everyone, and loads of free giveaways for attendees. Fireworks above the Susquehanna ended the night, but not before the band, University Players and other student performances entertained onlookers, followed by a raucous pep rally with numerous athletes and coaches firing up the crowd, and even included a performance by President Pignatello as he serenaded the crowd with what quickly became an ensemble of Neil Diamond’s Sweet Caroline. A slew of alumni games took place on Saturday, and even though the football team came up short against Bloomsburg the launch of the LHU Tailgate Zone was a major hit, with alumni grilling, partying and having a blast before, after and during the game. Homecoming 2018’s events capped off on Sunday with the induction ceremony of the 2018 Athletics Hall of Fame. The date for Homecoming 2019 is already set so mark your calendars.
