Accident ArrowCopter AC20 Czech Republic 5 Oct 2022

Accident of an ArrowCopter AC20, D-MDOE at the Excalibur City Airfield in the Czech Republic on the 5th of October. - Please note: The "Camerman" was a person close to one of the occupants and therefore completely lost it when he saw the crash.
Luckily the two occupant were only lightly injured.

1. Pre-rotate to recommended RRPM.

2. Accelerate until nose lifts

3. Push nose down until wheel is slightly of the ground

4. After lifting of the ground fly straight until recommended climb speed is reached

DO NOT PULL UP TO EARLY!

Not sure who was worse, the pilot or the camera operator.

Pilot obviously did numerous things wrong.
Trying to fly too early, too steep a climb for the speed, inexperience shines through here.

What can anyone say about this... Clearly rotor not up to speed when pilot pulls on the stick. Behind the curve, the gyro sinks, hits the ground, though the pilot tries to correct, is too late, and runs into a hangar. These type of accidents are all over youtube, and makes one wonder what kind of training these people are getting.

That looked like a crash right from the end of pre-rotation.

Why cant they design a gyrocopter to spool up the rotor at full RPM and perhaps not half to pull the cyclic full aft during take off? or At least keep the pre rotator running till so the pilot could keep the rotor disk level till proper speed is achieved ? thanks

There were 2 more gyroplane accidents on 2-Sep. One instructor with his pupil crashed them on the same day. I do not know, however, if any of these two were involved in this accident

If you use any equipment wrong it can hurt...

Appears to be an airplane takeoff. Clearly, the pilot had not been properly trained.

Understand weight to power ratio, pre-rotate to correct RPM, wait to rotate off ground, when lifts nose, level to build up ground effect energy to increase ground speed, increase power to safely lift. No sudden stick movements to create steep turns until a safe altitude is achieved. (you have a passenger!)

Shame as they don't make those arrowcopters anymore. Every airframe lost is irreplaceable.
