There are people that say that the vikings settled in the land during the european medieval era, how much if any do you think such a group would have influenced the culture and crafts?

Not to be disrespectful and all (I'm Southeast Asian, just stating an observation).but your traditional singing for some reasons sound eerily similar to like how traditional Appalachian whites sing old ballads. Just replace the drum with a banjo.
