Couldn't get 2020 to load content center for anything. Tried your 7zip workaround. Worked like a charm. Thank you, kind sir!

Thanks so much. At work it didn't install the content libraries and it's a pain to get admin rights to install anything. You 2nd method saved my ass!

Hi Jockey thanks for your videos - I find them helpful. I would like to know how you can set up your own libraries that can be used in many projects? These are generally just a parts library and now like the contents where they need to be configurable. Thanks for your help.

At 3:26 you mention that install is greyed out because it is already installed.  I have been spending quite a bit of time lately in that screen and I found that the actual "Install" launch button is always greyed out if you have any products maximized.  If you select your settings from within that product, then minimize it, Install should be available again.

Thanks a lot.
I just downloaded Inventor 2017 proffesional but the content center didn't work.
I packed as you say the files out and give Inventor the right path.
All my bolts and nuts are correctly back.
Now i can use Inventor 2017 with fun as the way i did before with 2016

Hi Neil, thanx for the vid, but @9:11 there should show up an icon place from content center. My inventor doesn't have that, it says place with an down-arrow and in the menu there's no ' place from content center' icon. What do i do wrong?

Hi Neil, hope you are doing well.
Thanks again for all the videos. They are very helpful and I have used several of them.
I have a suggestion for you. Actually is more a request... :)
You have loads of things about the desktop side of Inventor, but it would be great if you could have more stuff about the Vault side of things.
I mean... I work in an office in the design department. Not a big one as there are only 3 of us.
We use Vault in our workflows and we are trying to centralize things as much as possible so we can keep consistency between us more easily.
So, we are trying to install (among other things) the Content Center Libraries and our own Libraries but it's complicated to find useful/filtered information on the subject.

It would be great if you could show a bit more this side of things.
Like:

- How to Setup Vault Content Center (Can I have the Standard Libraries working from our local workstations and Company one from Vault?)
- Material Libraries
- Relevant options for Vault installations
- What should you install to run from Vault and what from your workstation
- Paths (do all workstations need the same paths?)
- etc...

You know what I mean!!!

Anyway... It would be really great if you could do some of that.
Thanks for all the great videos and Info. Hope you keep this channel up for a long time.

Best Regards.

I like your videos. Very good to understand, although I am not an English native speaker.

I recently upgraded to a new computer. Now every time I try to access content center the response time is unbelievably slow. Could this be related to using existing files that are looking for old search paths?

I thought I had an issue with accessing the content centre. I use Inventor 2016. When I use frame generator it fails to locate the parts from contents centre library. I have found an issue with Inventor 2016 and Windows 10 version 1903. I think this is now my issue. Is there anyway of getting around this? It looks like Autodesk only fixed the issue on 2017-2019 versions.

you say there is no link between the library and the part.... once placed. Do you mean the parts are created inside the project folder? You can delete the content centre, and the assembly will normaklly open with all the parts present?

One question about Inventor frame Generator. Is Frame Generator reading from the same Content Center libraries from the video or there is a separate, I don't know, data base for the Frame Generator? I am asking because after Windows update I was no longer able to create new parts with the Frame Generator. Shortly, it says "The component can not be find in the Content Center"! But, I can still create all the washer and nuts and bolts and so on :)
