I was looking at Smart locks, but it occurred to me besides the cost of having to put a smart lock on every room. I am changing the batteries in every Smart lock every twice a year.

Have you ever had tenant replace the whole lock with different brand/manufacturer? If so, how did you handle it? It would be food if these are fastened with a torz bit or something not readily available in hardware store.

Please clarify if the tenant uses 1 key for entering unit and bedroom or has 2 keys (1 for unit and 1 for the bedroom)
