They were constantly teasing and adding new creatures and items in the early days it was awesome. Lots of good memories. If you want a nostalgia trip go watch the old creature highlights and trailers from back in the day

I remember playing day one up until shortly before the launch of Scorched Earth. I played so, so much on official PvP servers and tbh it's crazy how much was put out during just those first few months and just how hype it all was at first. Absolutely loved the game but was also juggling college, a fresh relationship, work, and so many other things at the time as well as the negativity surrounding Ark growing (and Early Access games in general at that time), so I ended up dropping it. Tried picking it back up when the first Genesis trailers had dropped, did a solo PvE run on Ragnarok and had a good time, but life once again got in the way and I ended up dropping it. Just yesterday I installed it for the third time and have been having an amazing time, it's truly mind boggling how far the game has come. Can't wait to get further into my run on Fjordur as my send-off to Evolved before picking up Ascended

I remember how many updates they pushed out in early acess (i started playing not long after it came out - it was terrible optimized but i also owned a potato pc and i played like 400 hours on 20 fps or less)
I was amazed how they showed in this time how a early acess game should get updated (and i wasnt the only one)

Amazing work. I've been playing Ark since maybe a month after release in EA (back in 2015) and I loved this game so much, even if it had a ton of issues. Sadly I cannot say the same about ASA.. It was SO broken when it was released, It has gotten a little better but It truly shows how bad Wildcard is right now. And it's not even their fault. I have doubts Ark 2 will be releasing lol

11:43 I remember the procedurally generated ark option. I always thought it sounded cool but every time I tried it my game would crash
I also remember that at some point they released an update that made it to where you couldn’t play on the centre until you ascended the island

The first creature added in after Early Access launch was actually the Spinosaurus on Jun 13th. Then 4 more creatures came between then and July 30, 2015 before the Gigantopithecus was released. The Gigantopithecus was the first creature added in that had a trailer for it. The 5 before it had no trailers to themselves.

Oh man like the history of ark Really memorable, like when I was a teenager. When I moved to indiana, I live next door to a friend, and he was on my ipad once and he was on youtube, and I saw ark For the very first time as a kid, I was like, oh my goodness, what is this game like at first I thought it was on like the IPad, and I try to find it. No matter what, but I just remembered that it was on the pc at the time and honestly as a kid while watching videos of ark I was very jealous like seriously. I wanted to play that so badly. That is, until I discovered it was on the Xbox One which I did had, and I playeded and it was a lot of fun. I really still play It now. Like I loved playing this game. It was a lot of fun.It I can't believe it's been like years since I played it like I think I remember playing it around two 2016 to 2024 I know shocking, but I still play the game no matter what and I do.Enjoyed it a lot
