WOW! I sold Tupperware 42 yrs. ago. I still have and use my Tupperware from my original Sellers Kit. I paid maybe $39.99 for 2 giant filled bags of Tupperware. I remember thinking that $39.99 was alot of money. My manager gave me a $20 discount. She had alot of faith in me. I didn't disappoint. I loved that I could take my daughter with me to parties or to sell door to door, while I sold Avon or Fuller Brush. I was selling everything. My young daughter, who was 2 at the time, sold alot of kids Tupperware, with her cuteness. Sad to see it go. Thank you, Tupperware💕

When you make stuff that lasts several lifetimes, you are destined to go out of business.

It is why we must stop buying made in China. We drove them out of business while the chinese bought US properties.. And wondered why all this time. It has its consequences folks. Tupperware is an American icon name, making products that last. We must move forward while keeping our true values if we are to succeed as a country.

*Wow. That was an amazing product. Such a shame that no retail super market got Tupperware earlier.*

The market just got filled with cheap Chinese knockoffs

I love Tupperware. I still have most of it. The others were taken by my family to take home leftovers 😊

Such a shame. Some of those pieces are indispensable.

I have Tupperware pieces that are 50 years old, and I still use them! Tupperware lasts and lasts. Usually the ones that would end up in the trash were the ones that got left too close to a burner! I still love Tupperware, but I haven't bought a new piece in forever!

My Mom was a manager years ago. They cost way too much, and that's why nobody buys it anymore.

I didn't know they were still in business. Haven't seen their products in such a long time.

In Japan, Tupperware has become a part of the Japanese vocabulary. We call plastic food containers Tuppers.

In the 90s it was a common joke on sitcoms about losing Tupperware lids because they were expensive and made the product useless. When those cheaper models popped up in stores and you could buy lids separately as replacements it was a big deal. Sounds silly to say now

Well, when the competition makes a better product at a reasonable price, idk what they expected.

Another example of over pricing driving another long time company out of business. Try making things more affordable. This is your own fault.

Understand the reasons, but my family has one of the longest working District Rep in their side of the business. I hope they treat her right through their transitions. She only retired a few months ago!

I never liked Tupperware. I prefer glass or ceramic storage.

I have sets of Tupperware that my mother and my mother-in-law bought in the 60s and 70s.

Now I may never find what that lid fits.

It's such a household name in my country that people literally call lunchboxes as tupperware
