Fortunately nobody got injured during this accident!

The Manitou MRT2540 is one of Manitou's largest telehandlers with a lifting capacity of 4 tons and a maximum lifting height of 25 meters.

Everybody is saying retract the boom but nobody is saying anything about reversing the machine

First: he did not have his outriggers out. At that height and angle. Disaster.
Second: this is 100% driver error and his fault. No job experience

I couldn't easily saved that. The stuff I've done with forklifts and cranes have been astounding in the past.

Well people, , , new machines have a lockout function, , , , when boom is overloaded so the operator would have not been able to retract or drop the boom in emergency without depressing a special button, , , its a daft system cause if it wasn't for that function this would not have happened, , so maybe if the designers were machine operators themselves than that lockout system would be better

nice to see those stabilizer legs were tucked in all the way, that will have saved them getting damaged, ,, rtfm.

Retract and lower boom could have saved this machine. Some brains freeze in the heat of the moment. It's also obvious the machine isn't big enough for the work being performed.
