How I Trim + Shape My Curly Hair

This is my most requested video on how I maintain my heavily layered curly hair shape. I am an educator before a stylist so teaching others how to gain the confidence to style and care for their natural curls will always be more important than gaining clients for hair services ♡

I finally understand the best way to cut my type 4 hair. I’ve tried different methods and this one works best and makes the most sense. I trimmed my hair today curl by curl and it was fun and easy and stress free. I had an old twist out and since I use flaxseed gel on my hair my curls were super defined and clumped very well to where I could easily cut it curl by curl. Thank you so much!!

i’ve always been natural but it was only after religiously following your ‘how to style’ video 2 years ago that my confidence in my hair really started to shine. you introduced me to the fro life, thank you so much! i’ve been so fed up with my hair recently, it just hasn’t been giving and i now realize it’s because i haven’t been regularly trimming or shaping with a pick. i’ve been relying so much on my bangs at the very front to keep the hair cohesive, overstyling them until now they’re really damaged. i should’ve been picking them forward from the back for volume instead. now i know what i gotta do lol
