This takes AA (1.5v.) batteries. Can you use 14500 (3.7v.) batteries, or will they harm the unit?

Looks really great, but why does it have an open USB-C charging port?
You need a (silicon) port protection on everything that is outdoors. Even if the port itself is IP68 Waterproof, when you drop your light and the port gets depris, mud, sand, dirt, etc in it. You cant use it untill you can "deep" clean it or you will damage the port. Wich will be hard when you are outdoor.
I really want to buy this lamp but without an IP68 rating and a Port Protection i dont think its suitable for heavy outdoor use:(
