The V12 sound here does not do it justice. There are far better clips demonstrating the awesome sound of V12. More cylinders equals better sound, IMO. All the best, mate.

I have yet to meet a person who heard an actual V12 F1 in person and didn't agree this was the best sound ever. These ancient recordings don't do them justice.

That’s only because of the revs, the v8 and 10 were 19000rpm, the 12 was older and maybe 12000rpm. If the 12 revved to 19000rpm 💥

Ah yes let’s get the V6 clip from when they are SLOWING DOWN in a corner and the exhaust is pointing the other direction. That’s totally a fair comparison! 😂

V10s and v12s for me are very high but since i grew with the v8s, when someone mentions f1 it is what i imagine as a sound.

I have a soft spot for the 1966/67 Ferrari F1 engine sound. Grand Prix movie showed off the sounds of that era so well.

In a short clip maybe. But when you watch them race after race, the V8s start to sound the same regardless of manufacturer and less melodic over a lap.
