Honestly the best part of this backstory for me is how it doesn’t antagonize Loser too much. Most tropes like these tend to make the ‘famous character’ a weird jerk that completely changes the moment fame hits them. But Loser retains (or at least tries to) his friendship with Winner, and excitedly tries to share his fortune with them, even if he doesn’t realize that Winner doesn’t exactly want that.

And when Winner finally brings it up to him that they don’t like all this, Loser’s genuinely saddened. Sure he does eventually move on and continue Loser Cake without Winner, but the fact that his reaction wasn’t anger, or that he never tries to push or force the idea further to Winner, shows he does to some degree care about his friends opinion and wants more then the fame.

I don't blame loser actually, this was his dream and he took it. He was clearly sad when winner didn't want to be famous, but didn't push them. Was what he did a bit scummy, yes but do i feel like hes the villain or losers been ruined, god no i love this backstory.

Fun fact in a bfb episode I think the bfb4 loser was revealed to have gone through extreme bullying and hatred by others before he met Winner. And I feel like Loser wants to stay famous so he doesn't go back to that.

This backstory really adds depth and personification into the show. Loser was the type of character who thrived in fame, but Winner got exhausted of fame.
