Well done Kevin for putting Tim Davies on. I've been a subscriber to his YouTube channel for several months. He talks from the heart with intelligence, passion and honesty.

Top man, Tim Davies. He personally helped me in a huge way when the RAF threw out my pilot application. Pure class and a warrior for truth and common sense.

As an American, Tim Davies is exactly the kind of man Britain needs now more than ever.

The only officer of his generation that has the courage to speak out against the government.

I was at BAe, part of the Hawk Export Sales team. Hawk was a best seller, more than 30 export customers.

Imagine being a country that can’t even produce our own steel!

We are cooked.

Go on Tim! He tells it how it is. We need more politicians like Rupert Lowe to do that.

The cancellation of the TSR2 was the beginning of the decline of the British aircraft industry

That's what happens when you don't look after your industries that support the Military.

The aircraft discussed is an Italian manufactured and developed aircraft. It originated in Russia in 1991 but has been produced in the west for years. Both the French and British teams fly aircraft 48 yrs old. The British option is not yet available and not tested but what a chance to produce a British Training aircraft.

As Tim said, the M-346 is a good aircraft, plus it has up to date Western avionics and the FT variant is combat capable. It's already in service with the air forces of Italy, Singapore, Israel, Poland, Qatar and Greece. Some RAF pilots' training has been pushed out to Italy, which will have been on the T-346. At an objective level, retiring the very dated Hawk and converting to the 346 makes a lot of sense. But yes, it grates that we have no local capability for replacing the Hawk in the necessary time-frame.

Tim Davies is THE guy to talk to about the RAF, he's a very knowledgeable guy who knows what he's talking about.
It wouldn't surprise me at all if this gubberment suggested getting rid of both the Red Arrows AND the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight!

Always great to hear from Tim!!! the fact that the Gov\Raf are still using these aging planes is disgraceful, should have invested in a new replacement a long time ago.

I was one of the RAF’s most qualified and respected long serving pilots. 30 years. Suffice to say that I was badly betrayed and sometimes the government didn’t even try to hide it. So I resigned and left the country in disgust. Good luck Britain, you’re going to need it……
