Well you are missing one point. If someone that isn't familiar with your smart home setup people may use the switch and therefore cut power to the smart power. In that case, the thing won't turn on at all. So maybe it's the better way to go for the switch, in addition, using a smart switch allows you to choose from a far grater selection of light fixtures and replacement bulbs. Smart Bulbs of lesser quality over have issues dispersing the heat which increases the stress caused by heat cycling which in turn will make a premature failure of the bulb more likely.

This video makes broad statements without properly waying Pros and Cons of both ways.

Yes the last point of the video is wrong. Guests know how to use a light switch. If you use smart bulbs, guests don’t know the smart commands to control the bulb. If they flip the light switch, your smart bulb will disconnect from WiFi and will no longer work until reconnected.
