Homes in Illinois aren’t expensive. The property taxes are nearly the same as the mortgage. That’s what kills you!

I absolutely agree with the man who said being a homeowner is no longer part of the American dream I had 2 homes 5 vehicles plus motorcycle and I lost it all I'm no longer able to work I'm totally disabled my money I worked for all my life is gone I live on a small amount of ssa most of that goes for rent but I'm not complaining I'm glad to have a place to lay my head 😊

I moved out of Chicago because I felt like I was throwing my money away every month on outrageous rent for just a studio apartment. I now live and work in Rockford, IL. I work doing "rentals" for someone who owns over 120 properties. I do an average of 3-4 evictions a month then have to clean them out, fix them back up to code and paint to rent them out again because people can't get into a place fast enough. There is always work, and even though the landlord tries to keep the rent "reasonably cheap" and does not raise the rent on existing tenants, it's still higher than what it should be for our area, and more and more people are having a hard time paying the rent. It's sad. She tries to work with ppl and uses whatever programs the state/city might have to assist people to keep a roof over their heads, but it's ridiculous how hard it is these days... literally, people are just working to pay rent and there's little for bills, groceries, and necessities. You have to have a partner or roommate if you want to be able to afford anything. The only reason I have anything is because I also rent from her and have an arrangement otherwise I'd be facing eviction monthly.

It's not supposed to be like this. And it's only gonna get worse unless We the People remember that our division is conditioned and only in our minds. We need to come together and put an end to the corruption coming from the top who dictate the cost of living. All of it is by design as they push our nation toward Globalism and steal our futures and the futures of our children. America is a shadow of what it once was and we are losing our right to liberty and pursue happiness . What else are you willing to lose?

My property taxes here in Denver went up 52% in one year. Sold that home and paid cash for 40 acres and a shell of a mobile home. Never been happier. 😊

Problem is... This will happen everywhere and is starting to happen everywhere. Home prices here in Tennessee have skyrocketed. Sure I could sell my home, but where would or could I go??? 😢
