In this episode, we unbox the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 3rd Generation audio interface, and take you through everything you might need to know.
We look at the unboxing experience, first impressions, overview, set-up with Ableton Live DAW, provide a demonstration of how the interface sounds plugged in directly, it's physical features and what they do.
When plugging in an instrument, make sure the “Inst” button is activated, while having the “Mono” button (or the single circle) activated.
When plugging in a microphone, make sure the mono button (single circle) is activated, and click the “48V” (phantom power) button and leave it on for a few seconds if you aren’t getting any sound from your microphone initially.
Phantom Power Article TLDR: Use phantom power (48V) if your microphone needs power.
