What is the meaning of "herem" in the Book of Joshua? Can it mean something other than to "annihilate" or "destroy"? What does the word's lexeme tell us about the meaning of the word?

War language
Just like Exodus 17:14 (completely blot out the memory of Amalek under heaven) and 16 (be at war with Amalek from generation to generation)

And since harem in English is a whole bunch of wives, clearly God doesn’t want you marrying the zombie horde!

By the way, could the line of kush refer to the line of Kish in regards to Nimrod, and what is your interpretation of the tower of Babel myth? I've been trying to do some research and I'm stumped because it is critical when trying to interpret it and link it to other events in the Book of Genesis. including who Nimrod is. I cannot find a good argument for it to be Hammurabi or Ur-Nammu because I don't see how their stories interact or intersect with the Genesis narrative and any meaningful way.

I am kind of partial to “Bazez” בָּזַז. Old Testament evangelism.😂
