Justin must have some sort of a good luck charm with all his cool Lego finds. Must be part of his part mantis genetics. 💪

I remember finding Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle for $60 and the Elite Clone Trooper battle pack for $20 at a pawn shop awhile ago. That battle pack is usually like $50-60 on eBay.

I bought a giant bin of lego at the thrift store two months ago with vintage sets for only $100. Has 20 to 25 full sets from the 60s/70s/early 80s with instructions and some still had their boxes. Still putting them all together to make sure they’re complete, already built a few of them, but it’s the best lego find I ever had. Looked on eBay at all the sets prices used and even if I were to sell them below what other sellers are selling them for, I’d make 2 to 3 grand. I’ll prob keep most of them though because now that I have them they’re hard to let go. Especially the classic space sets.

2 weeks ago, I was lucky enough to get the second best find of my life at an estate sale—$600 (after a lot of negotiation) for Skulls Eye Schooner, Imperial Flagship, Imperial Trading Post, Enchanted Island, Dragon Wagon, Camouflaged Outpost, Castle Minifigures (6103), Fort Legoredo and the Weapons Wagon. All complete, all with instructions and all with boxes—even the plastic trays.

Oh my god, I actually have the first one you showed - that little prison island. What I love about old LEGOs is that they always gave you at least three different build ideas on the back.

I'd love to find that War Machine for five bucks, pretty crazy.

I was seven and into Marvel, right? Specifically Wolverine. Well, one day me and my family went to a garage sale and I found a cool Wolverine action figure, and we bought it. Last year I was watching a documentary about Marvel and there was a segment about action figures and one of the ones shown was my Wolverine figure and it was apparently worth a lot, but I also owned a dog that liked to chew on plastic and... well... Wolverine was missing a leg.

I spent 15 on this big bag that had a heap of Bionicle pieces. I was able to fix several of my own Bionicle figures with these pieces so i was quite happy.

While my dad was driving through our neighborhood someone had a box of free stuff outside their house. Inside that box was a sealed General Grievous Chase set from 2003. We were contemplating on opening it but evidently sold it for $200-250 (i cant remember)

A few thoughts: a.) I have that same shirt, b.) great score on that War Machine! and c.) I'd love to contribute to your LEGO Museum someday - let's talk! :)

In a charity shop I found a 614-1 Legoland Excavator set for £4.00. Still had the box (not sealed but all the pieces were there as well as the instructions).

I've found a few Lego lots at my local thrift stores. Even fewer sealed. Never something as old as classic pirates though

Wow what a great find! I never find old sealed Lego sets and I go all the time. I’m glad you bought all those I think you got the best of what they had.

I remember going to a thrift store and getting a Bionicle movie set of Jaller & Gukko a year back, resealed, almost no box damage, all pieces and instructions for the same price it was on release

The War Machine minifigure is from the Avengers Bricktober set. That’s a really lucky find!
