So ... you've already put more math's and engineering into this rebuild than land rover did designing/building it to begin with. Awesome job! Thanks for sharing!

This is honestly the best series I've seen on YT.

You really did an excellent job editing and polishing this video. This most certainly looks like a project you're having fun with.

You know, as I watched Squatch253 take a dented old air cleaner for a Cat D2, (for which he had a perfectly good slightly later replacement), take it apart, grind apart the spot welds, unsolder the connectors, straighten the bent (and now accesssible) metal pieces, and then reweld/rivet/solder the pieces, I thought I'd seen the most meticulous loving restoration I was going to see this week.

And then I watched you deduce the faults in a chassis using only straight edges and tape measure, like some ancient greek geometer.

Kudos to both of you!

Watched it. You’re such a pedant, you have such high standards that I’m in complete awe of everything you do. Can’t wait to see this finished in 2029.

Hi Geffory, greetings from the South West of Ireland. So look forward to your content, your humor, dry wit, your accent delivered pan fashion. So enjoyable in an era of hysteria and absolutes. Enjoy your queriousty, not knowing "everything" without some emphirical inquiry. You bring enlightement and humor together in a seamless fashion! Thank You for what you are doing. Eamonn

Oh. My. God....

The best thing about disappearing into the forest for 6 months (USFS) is forgetting about this channel (sorry!!!) and then seeing it pop up in the recommended and then I have a lot of catching up to do... so I make some popcorn.

Good times.

I got 4 episodes to binge!!

This video gave me a real bad obsessions Motorsports / project binky vibe. This is Definitely one of my favorite builds I’m following! Can’t wait for the next installment.
Thanks for the content.

Great bit of detective work on what “the previous job done crack a beer guy” did. Very enjoyable watch!

I'm really enjoying this restoration series! A few decades ago, I worked at a body shop, pulling frames back in position after accidents. This video reminded me a lot of that. We'd hang frame gauges on the frame that had levels and pins to ensure everything was in alignment and level.
One warning on tightening the door gaps. Install the door latches to see if there is still enough room for them to work correctly and fit in the tighter opening.
Also, great job on the editing of the video!

That's the most satisfying restoration of something, i like how you're not satisfied until everything would have aligned to the millimeter.

"Better than new" has taken on a whole new meaning. Nice job Geoff.

this beautiful Land Rover is going to be way better than it ever has in its life. Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us! BTW, your welding is up on par and even better than many welders I've encountered at professional shipyards! I cringe so hard whenever I see ugly welds on our finished ships!

Geoffrey, Laddy I don't quiet know how to tell you this, but it appears you have the patience of a saint (which saint, I have no idea..lol). I have to hand it to you, you definitely went into great detail on "getting it right", obviously you intend on keeping the old "Rover" for quite a while. Nice job. Thanks for sharing how you reasoned out the adjustments to get the issues resolved, it made for a great viewing experience. It's almost a pity you don't have a pool out back to turn into a big plating bath.. Thanks for sharing the rebuild with us, I for one will be looking forward to the next episode.. Cheers from Canada!
