Last cunard queen's grill cruise we were on, wife and I were discussing queens grill benefits at dinner on last night...the nice couple at the table next to us nearly choked on their food when the over heard me say "put me in the back of a wardrobe as long as I can come and eat here 3 times a day!" For us the food in the grills restaurant is the big advantage to grills. Not being fixed to a dining time is also lovely and makes a huge difference to the experience.

The rest of the benefits pail into insignificance in comparison. Massive thanks to all the staff and waiters in the restaurant for making out cruising so special, they work so hard but always have a smile on face and make things so lovely!

They all appeal to us! We are joining a 7 day in Queens Grill on QE next month! Then the money runs out and we return to a balcony cabin!

We did an upgrade bid for a princess grills this summer. The food was simply amazing, I liked the little bar on the Queen Elizabeth. Our cabin steward was superb, cabin was lovely. Next Cruise is in Britannia so I’ll have something to compare with. Based on the upgrade price I feel it was actually a pretty great deal. I used to travel for work and I would put this up there with something like a Hyatt Regency, but the service and food is a step up from that.

Absolutely LOVE the Queens grill, they will make literally anything for you, so if you're a pie and chips kinda person, they'll make you that, I'm a gluten-free vegetarian and nothing is too much trouble for them ☺️

I hope the food is better in this class on the Queen Mary. The food for October 2022 sailing on the QM2 was at best adequate. Previous transatlantic were wonderful. This one, not so much. The food was tasteless, staff fearful of reprimand, and their superiors looking for ways to criticize. Not the luxury it used to be.

For the money, I’d expect a drink package like you get with MSC Yacht Club and other cruise lines. On Queen Mary 2 in particular, we also found that the Grills Terrace was very underwhelming. Didn’t scream luxury, or seem worth paying a premium for. Having said that, we would like to try Grill’s to see how it compares - the food looks incredible 😍

I recently did queens grill on the QE in Alaska. I will never travel anything else. The canapés were the worst part. However ask your butler what else they can bring you. I had chicken wings and prawns one night for canapés. But I can’t wait to go again. Aloha!

Sounds great, but there's one problem - QM 2's Queens and Princes grills restaurants are higher up than the Britannia on deck 7. On a rough day people with a tendancy to be seasick, won't be able to enjoy that food. The suites are up there as well, in the back or front, so not exactly ideal for "motionless" travel.

We certainly didn’t get priority disembarkation when we sailed transatlantic NYC to Southampton in October!

Plus the lounge is rubbish. A few seats and an occasionally present concierge. No one spoke at all, not a social location as the seats don’t face each other.
