If you buy something or are making payments always ask for a receipt the best way to pay is with a card so you have your proof if anything goes bad.

Always use a Legitimate Banking system when purchasing a car or anything larger. Even if you have money, money, the last payment can turn into a chess game. For instance, paying off the last 25% right away.
