Generally, cars would last for about 5-10 years before they are replaced by the new models. But then, there are ones that kept going for many more years, some even decades. Of course, there would be some improvements, some mild evolution, but it is still the same model – same basic design.
Hey guys I’m Stype, and this is a list of the cars with the longest production runs… EVER!

I can’t believe the Land Rover (Defender) wasn’t mentioned. First built in 1948 and finished in 2016 and was basically the same vehicle with minor improvements.

The second-generation Mitsubishi Delica aka L300 in certain territories went in production from 1979 up to the present day in Indonesia and the Philippines. I don't doubt that it'll be discontinued soon, but it being a reliable workhorse, not to mention that parts for the L300 are readily available made it a staple in the countries I mentioned.

There are several other cars that should have been on this list. The original defender (over 40 years), 70/76/79 series Land Cruiser (~36 years), heck, even the Nissan Frontier (15 years). The only things they changed in those 15 years were the engine and transmission...in the last model year, 2020.
Edit: Japanese pickup trucks, particularly the full size ones, should be on this list. The first gen titan was in production for 11 years, the Tundra was in production for 14. And all they changed in that amount of time was the interior and exterior styling (slightly). Engines and transmissions remained the same. Their full size SUVs don't get any love, either. Toyota finally redesigned the Land Cruiser, but the Patrol has been in production since 2011, and there are no signs of a redesign any time soon.

Very interesting video indeed. I knew about some of them. The Hindustan Ambassador was a rebadged 1956 Morris Oxford. The Mini was designed for Austin first, badged as the SE7EN. The Morris Mini Minor followed. In time there were Riley and Wolseley variations on the common theme. The after market got in the act and produced some that were as luxurious and elegant as a Rolls-Royce.
I do believe that the Volvo 140/240 series deserves a mention. 25 years on the market and considered the safest car you could buy for most of that run is pretty impressive. I know the model designation changed, but the roofs, upper and lower cowls, doors, floor pans, and tailgate are the same parts. I believe the 240 is the only regular production car that can boast of 3 consecutive years with zero fatalities.

Morgan is the true embodiment of timeless cars. Even the Aerosport had vintage styling but from the way it performed and sounded you'd be taken aback by what it could achieve
