I’ve always loved the “bidibidibidi” sound he makes. To me it sounds like laughter, like he’s enjoying every second of the destruction.

The original high pitch electronic sounds for King Ghihorah are still the best and very distinctive. They should try mixing in some rattle snake sounds with these original sounds for the next film version of the monster.

The 60s-70s cackle sounds very alien-like since he is from space and the 1991 roar sounds more like it is from earth since heisei ghidorah was just the dorats mutated from radiation (assuming the dorats are from earth).

As a kid I thought the beeping noises were funny, but now that I'm older I have realized how fitting they are. King Ghidora is from space, so it makes sense to give him an alien sounding voice. Not only that, but what kid me heard as funny beeping now sounds like scary cackling. I mean, imagine hearing those sounds and then seeing THAT in the distance.

Fun fact, for a lot of the Toho kajiu’s roars and sounds, sounds of instruments were used to help create them. The original 1954 roar was made from dragging a resin-covered leather glove against the strings of a double bass. For some other monsters, a contrabassoon was used for Rodan, a saxophone for Anguirus, and an electric organ for King Ghidorah :)

There just something about the original roar that’s so oddly unsettling. Like it shouldn’t be intimidating, it’s just weird chirping. But it’s so alien sounding and you wouldn’t expect hearing it from this enormous creature . It’s awesome lol.
