Creating a Single-Region Cluster in YugabyteDB Aeon (Formerly YugabyteDB Managed)

YugabyteDB Managed is now called YugabyteDB Aeon. YugabyteDB Aeon is a PostgreSQL-compatible managed cloud database service designed for modern applications.
See how to set up and test a single-region cluster using YugabyteDB Aeon.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN IN THIS VIDEO:
1. Selecting cluster type and setting cluster name
- Click on "Add cluster"
- Choose "Dedicated" and then select "Single region cluster"
- Input the desired cluster name
2. Configuring cluster settings
- Select cloud provider and database version
- Choose single region deployment
- Set fault tolerance, region, number of nodes, vCPUs per node, and disk size per node
- Select VPC if needed
3. Setting network access rules
- Choose desired method for setting network access rules
- Add IP addresses and enable public access if desired
4. Enabling AWS customer-managed keys (optional)
- Skip this step for this demo
5. Setting up database credentials
- Use default credentials or add custom ones
- Download credentials before creating the cluster
6. Connecting to the cluster
- Click "Connect" in the top right corner
- Choose desired connection method
