I enjoy the sport, but by no means am an avid fan. It doesn't matter, this show is awesome. It does take a minute to really get into it, mostly to establish characters though. So give it time, it'll be worth it. Second season is already coming.

Imo, call the sport whatever you're comfortable with. As long as you know its called Football in most of the world, we're all good.
