This was the last thing they agreed to do after Cameron's passing, they said they that they wouldnt return to Descendants because it's not the same without Cameron. Uma (China) returned because she said she and Cameron did discuss making D4 and knew he was excited for it so she did it to honor him and help the new/old fans transition to the new VKs
