I have a medium suitcase… in summer I put in the boots, hats, coats ect… and in winter I put away extra towels, beach stuff singers summer clothes… ect… we are a family of 3 and this has worked for us for 6 years.

Your decluttering videos are always so good. I keep a pair of gloves in the pockets of each coat that I wear in colder weather, which really saves on space (and forgetting to bring them). ❄

one question I might add: Would I buy this again? AKA, If something disappeared from your home would you bother replacing it or would it just remain gone? I think some people don't want to let go of something "just in case" because it's already here but when asked if they would replace it the answer is usually no and you can use that to convince them that it can go.

Also. Bins are going to be your best friend. Clear are best for closets baskets or solid bins are best for open areas. I'm a professional organizer just trying to help! I love it!

You did a great job! In my laundry area we have a coat closet and an area to also hang our coats on hooks. I like things tucked away and out of sight so under the hooks I put three nice baskets. Each person gets a basket to put away their stuff like hats, mitts, flip flops or whatever depending on the season. I know my family won’t take the time to put away their mitts or whatever item nicely on a shelf. This way they toss it in the basket and move on. You could maybe add baskets under the hooks for more easy storage. Great video!

My mom has a habit of getting me gloves to Christmas every year. I gave a lot of totally unworn with tags on ones to the charity shop because I was overwhelmed and I probably still have more than 5 pairs...

I learned not to touch my fiance stuff. Unless it ends up on my side of the closet. Yesterday I was swapping out summer stuff up and winter stuff. I already have a full bag of clothes to donate. Then some I am giving my co workers daughter clothes. I have been thinking about would I like to move with this lately. In 2 or 3 years we plan to move to. I need to get my totes emptied, it's a tough one. Lol

For the top of your shelf and cubbies you can add baskets. I just put decor on mine so no one shoves stuff in it lol

I'd suggest put doors on that area. That and some bins to store the little things, would help a lot. Perhaps louver doors or nice door with some screen on it for air for any damp things.

My new favorite decluttering channel! My own decluttering game got so much more challenging since I had my daughter (she's 2 now), so this channel is much more relatable than your standard super-young, living alone influencer-type 🤣🤣
At what age did you get your daughter involved? Mine is a bit too young to make well-informed decisions, but lately she does have a strong opinion and she's starting to ask for specific items when I clear out her closet at the end of the season 🙈
