In this episode Lena speaks of fears that ‘everything will stop’ if she took a career break after 'Girls' wrapped and how difficult it was to continue to have self-compassion after finding fame. Plus Lena opens up about the sexist response from medical officials whilst trying to get help with her endometriosis and she defends Olivia Wilde in the face of the sexist treatment of female directors in Hollywood.

Lena also talks about how the discussion of women's bodies in the public eye has changed since the noughties and how she was called 'fat' countless times by Joan Rivers.

Plus as she releases her new movie, Catherine Called Birdy on Amazon Prime - which follows a medieval teenager coming of age and stars the likes of Bella Ramsey, Andrew Scott, Joe Alwyn and Billie Piper - Lena talks about how we can make medieval history more interesting. It's funnier than it sounds, I PROMISE! Plus there is so much more in the full episode so run to wherever you get your podcasts from right now!

I love her so much! I found you through Heartstopper searches last year, and now realizing you have interviewed tons of my faves. I've loved Lena since Girls, one of THE best shows of all time. It makes sense why her and Taylor are friends because they both have dealt with so much scrutiny just because they are confident women who know what they deserve. Why are people so scared of powerful women? Anyway.. now I'm ranting lol. Thank you so much for your interviews - I'm going to go binge the rest now. Also... .PLEASE try and get Bella Ramsey on the show! <3
