Immerse? Sprinkle? Lutherans don't care how much water is used in a baptism. Watch to find out why not as Pr. Borghardt teaches why we do what we do.

Also, it would carry more authority if you interspersed your points with quotes from God's Holy Word. I attend a LCMS church, but I care more about what His Word says than what Martin Luther thought or wrote.

I was baptized and confirmed Lutheran. I know traditionally they do a pouring/sprinkling method can you request a full immersion baptism?

I think what you are neglecting is the fact that baptism has to do with cleansing.

Whether pouring or dipping or immersing, it is all about cleansing.

Immersion baptism proponents focus too much on the water.

We win by referring to the Word, how did the Apostles do it

What are your thoughts on some translations (Tree of Life Version for example) that use the word "immerse" instead of "baptism." That translation even calls John the "Immerser" not John the Baptist.

the OT didn't things have to be done in a certain way (God's prescribed way) in the some struck dead for not obeying that exact Christ (our Divine example) baptized in a just curious....God after all, does have an order of things right?....not our way, but His. Thank you and stop coughing when you say you make me burst out

This guy says at :38, "To baptize means bathe or to sprinkle with water. NO IT DOESN'T! The word "baptize" comes from the Greek word "baptizo", which means to submerge, dip, immerse, overwhelm. This guy needs his head examined.

Was Jesus Christ baptized as an infant/baby? The answer is NO. And he was baptized by COMPLETE IMMERSION. And what is good enough for him is definitely good enough for me.
