You made a mistake! The large earthquake that struck in 1994 was in Northridge, CA; the San Francisco Eartquake occurred in 1989.

Loma Prietta (San Francisco) was in 1989. Northridge (Los Angeles) was 1994, I was there in SoCal when it happened!

Just so you know, The Simpsons came out in 1989. CD's were the most popular medium by 1991 so your portable music device would probably be a Discman. Some still used a Walkman it was more but it's peak usage was the 80's.

Didn't Mikey in Life Cereal start in the 80s, or even the late 70s?

Dr Martens goes back to 1960, and it's associated most with the 70s!

I made 32 out of 45. Some of the questions made me feel dumb when I got the question wrong.

The original Game Boy was first released in Japan on April 21, 1989. It was later released in North America on July 31, 1989. Not 1990. I remember this because the Game Boy is what I received as a birthday gift in 1989.

I missed only 13 of those questions, which would be to say I got 32 of them right. TBH, I’m actually surprised I did as well as I did because: A.) I spent my formative years in the 80s; I’m more of an “80s person;” and B.) I spent ALL the 90s as a psychiatric lab rat. I was abused, AND kept sick ON PURPOSE, by the psychiatric community—so, while the 90s did have a few good, positive aspects for me, I’m surprised I remembered as much as I did; and C.) I have a failing memory.

BTW, not to be picky, but the slogan, “Where’s the beef?” was an “80s thing.” It became a popular catchphrase in 1983; it remained so thru the spring of 1984–and the old lady who became famous for saying it, Nadine van der Somebody (I can’t remember her full name), made two appearances in the 1985 comedy, “Moving Violations, ” the first of which shows her emerging from the lobby of an airport, asking the nightcap, “WHERE’S the bags?”

Question #26 was about the commercial featuring some kid named Mikey hesitating behind a bowl of cereal. Sorry to bother you, but that was a “70s thing.”
Now, the LAY’S potato chip commercial came up with the jingle, “Nobody can eat just one, ” back in the 70s; HOWEVER, THAT one, the all-too-familiar “LAY’S jingle, ” DID remain popular all thru the 80s AND the 90s.
