My only regret is that no one will understand of our orange horse boy once he makes his MCU debut. He’ll be the fifth person to lift Mjolnir and the second wielded of Stormbreaker. In the comics, dude was the first in comic history to lift the hammer besides Thor. He was designed to look like a monster because Simonson didn’t want it to be a typical pretty looking good guy who picked up the hammer. He reached into molten metal to make the Stormbreaker specifically his.

Love me some Beta Ray Bill - the way he conducts his affairs, with such honor and no BS, is amazing.

His character really opened up the opportunity for other characters in the Thor mythos.

Love Beta Ray Bill and always preferred him to Thor. I like MCU Stormbreaker, but I always hated the fact they made it just an upgrade for Thor instead of bringing in BRB. Then the comics had to make it worse and have Thor destroy Bill's version... Then have Sif curve Bill... What did Bill do to deserve all that lol.

Bill's debut still holds up to this day as just a great comic along with the rest of Simonson's run. But Godhunter might be in my top 5 and is woefully under appreciated. I had forgotten how impactful it was that Bill looked like a monster and was the first besides Thor to lift Mjolnir. I keep holding hope for him to debut in the MCU and it feels more and more possible as Thor becomes more cosmic, but I have no idea how he'd debut and be appropriately integrated with the current canon.

My favourite beta ray bill moment was in Thor Disassembled, where he made his entry like a badass and obliterated Fenris the wolf, screaming "who dares lay hands on the mighty thor". Such a badass dude
