Possibly AI-generated video of Trump & Elon on government TVs 🦶

TV monitors at the Department of Housing and Urban Development showed a looping video of an apparently falsified scene — possibly AI-generated — depicting President Donald Trump sucking Musk’s toes with “LONG LIVE THE REAL KING” written over the loop, according to people at HUD who shared images.

In other news, a federal judge Monday denied a legal maneuver by the Associated Press to immediately restore access to official White House events for its journalists, who have been barred since Feb. 11 because of the news organization’s decision to continue using the name Gulf of Mexico, rather than Gulf of America.

The AP had sued the White House on Friday, asking for a temporary restraining order that would undo the ban while the legal process plays out. But U.S. District Judge Trevor N. McFadden denied that request, saying that the AP’s lawyers had not sufficiently convinced him that the situation was “dire” enough to warrant such an intervention. McFadden mentioned, for example, that the news organization had waited more than a week after the ban to file the lawsuit, although he applauded the AP for attempting to resolve the situation without litigation.
