I just turned 60 and listening to this one nowadays hits me a whole lot differently than it did when I was 13!

That epic vocal solo that Rob does made this song my absolute favorite priest song! It's beautiful!

This is one of my favorite Priest songs of all time. When I was a disgruntled teen this song and message spoke to me. Still does

It was from their first album. It has been my favorite since I heard it 43 years ago.

The recording equipment has a lot to do with the sound. Thanks for your reactions. One of the Best!

Anyone that's ever said Rob can't sing is obviously insane, there is no one ever that could sing like him.

As I get older, this track makes me think 🤔, what have I done with my life, and where has time gone.

Every once in a while, I am moved to tears by a vocal performance. When Halford begins to wail “I can’t go on, ” it had me tearing up with the sheer emotion that he is forcing through his voice. Absolutely breathtaking….

Finally some 70s Priest. Dreamer Deceiver and Victim of Changes should make you a believer.

“VICTIM OF CHANGES” from their Sad Wings of Destiny album REALLY changed my idea of who Judas Priest is. Absolutely EPIC song and album to be honest. Great reaction, T! I'm so glad that you're on board the Judas Priest train. Buckle up!! Lol

This is my favorite Priest song. It is so powerful and you said it... "they don't make music like this any more"... NOBODY makes music like this. No person in their right mind with any credibility can claim Rob Halford cannot sing.

The long guitar riff was so many different scale patterns it taught so many to play lead, thus, you got 15 million fingers learning how to play, so with all the music with guitars, you can hear their fingers picking, YES

Judas Priest had written songs w/ founding vocalist Al Atkins before he quit in '73... Rob Halford sung them on the first 2 Priest albums in '74 - '76.
At that time, K. K. Downing wrote a lot of the music, but after Glenn Tipton joined in '74, he became the band's de facto leader and chief songwriter w/ Downing & Halford.
There was some confusion as to Judas Priest's musical direction in '74... they didn't want to copy Black Sabbath or Led Zeppelin... but it was the 2nd album 'Sad wings of destiny' that gave them some identity. It was done on a tiny UK label Gull Records, while the band was broke.
When they signed to a major label in '77, u can hear the sonic upgrade w/ the 3rd album 'Sin after sin' w/ drummer Simon Phillips taking the Priest twin guitar attack to perfection... particularly the songs 'Sinner' and 'Let us prey'🔥🔥🔥
Personally, the '78 album 'Stained class' was the record Judas Priest delivered metal of the top calibre...
