I like that you guys actually drive these trucks like most people would. Some reviewers just crawl around, sweating the littlest scrapes. You guys bomb through the mud laughing off the hits.

Bought a 2023 Frontier Pro4x and have zero regrets. Awesome truck!

Nissan is gonna win the price battle every time so for something that can “keep up” with the Tacoma I’d call that a win for Frontier

Frontier offers so much more for the money. Pro4x starts at 37k, while trd pro starts at 45k by the way

I'd love to see this video without switching drivers. I was looking forward to hearing the comments from the driver as a comparison, but you guys switched out. The driver plays a huge part in doing these runs, so I think that's a little bit of a miss for this test.

First thing you would have to do after buying either one of one of those trucks is definitely replace those street tires for sure

For the price difference, the frontier would be my choice. With the extra money you saved, you could upgrade the suspension and tires and have a far superior vehicle

Dad/Senior Partner was awesome in this video. Dropped a curse and pulled rank to get out the rain. Must be proud to have two big boys in his image 👍. Great work fellas!

Hello from Northern Wisconsin 🌲 I’ve got a 13’ Pro 4X with a 105k and I’ve had that thing everywhere… never failed me. In 4-low I can blast through 2-3ft of snow or mud without any issue, and if I do get stuck, E-lock will crawl me out… but most of the trail driving and snow driving is done in 4-Hi. My buddy is a Nissan tech so he does all the maintenance for a great price… all synthetic fluids changes done liberally. Only issue is gas mileage, especially if 4WD is used often… and the 4x4 icon doesn’t disengage immediately after using 4-low and E-lock (no idea why) But she’s been golden from Montana to Maine 🙏🏻 🇺🇸

Another great actual review. You guys drive like most people would be out in the back woods, unlike many other reviewers who stop at the slightest bit of mud, you guys hammer through it like any normal person would. That's what people need to see, what does the vehicle really do when you drive it like you really would be in the real world.

Your dad is the best. Only reason I watch. He knows more about trucks than most people aquire in their whole life.

I’ve got a 2012 pro 4x and love it. Running some Toyo AT. Never a second thought when entering what others won’t attempt. Also should mention 125k miles and nothing but oil changes and battery. Solid truck.

TRD Pro is not an equal competitor to the Pro4x. Do the same test with the TRD offroad with the "same" Bilstein shocks as the Pro4x.

Finally some real off road videos! Tired of other people driving in their backyard and calling it off road lol

Really good review of these two trucks. TRD PRO and a manual isn't the same, but close enough to show the Nissan's capability. I am in the market and the Nissan's comfort will probably be what sways me. I don't care about cost, will never go heavy offroading, have no brand loyalty and will likely keep it so long that resale isn't really a factor. Which truck is better to haul a small dual sport motorcycle around the backroads of America for a retired guy? Probably the Frontier.

This channel is THE BEST truck review channel. BY FAR

Love the family dynamics of this channel. Great seeing dad behind the wheel taking on the left hook.

Just sitting down to breakfast and a new truck King off-road comparison video?? What a great start to the day!

I think the better comparison would have been the Tacoma TRD Off Road. Nissan has less trim levels and the TRD PRO is considerably more expensive. Not to mention it should be automatic to automatic. Manuals are very difficult to find in the lower 48. Toyotas auto shifts odd on the road. Great videos love the channel.

There was probably slight differences in the test because the Toyota went first. I think to really even things out you would need to make multiple passes in each truck and then have an average to base the overall performance on. It was cool seeing what you did do though.
