I understand the instructions can be obtained on the APP, so either a computer or phone will do. But after set-up, does the system require a smart phone to work?

I am installing Ignite TV at my mother's house and she does not have internet or a computer. So, I will need to set the system up using my phone. After set-up, can the cable T.V. operate without the phone nearby?

I agree it's a terrible remote for seniors.
The input button is just above the volume and my elderly aunt keeps pressing the input button by mistake.
I've had to go over there a few times and the only way I can reset the input is by using the old TV remote that has functional arrows that help you select the correct input button. Sucks!

A tech was just here and switch our primary tv to RJ45 network cable because of issues.After hooking the cable to the port at the back of the smallbox, I asked him if automatically turned off WIIfi, and defaulted to the cable. He showed me a trick on how to view all that info. He pressed "exit" for 5 seconds, followed by the down arrow in the centre and then the number 2. Pretty cool but I can't do it. Wonder if I am missing a step. Can you help me. PS: I am a retired tech since 2006. In my career I also did contract work for Shaw. Just so you know my skills level. Although I am now 76years old and my skills are leaving me very fast. Cheers Al

How can I record only part of a program or stop and save a part of a program? News programs often go on for hours but if I want to record only a 10 minute interview how do I do this?

When you press Rogers and it takes you to the main screen with women automatic (popular) apps …. How do we change that to our favourite apps, specific to the ones we want to only show up on the main screen when we press Rogers button.

My God I just want a cable box with just a channel guide with pip in the top. Whats up with the app store thing people just want basic hardware no apps or anything. Let me know if Rogers has a basic hardware tv box with out any apps at all and it's just channel guide with pip and you just scroll the tv guide for what you want to watch. Like the old school digital cable boxs

I Asked A rogers persenal how mutch in rogers tv box with channel packages they gave price okau the budles ...i see then i asked a second time to close the deal ...the service phone tech just jumped from 100 a month too 300 a month, ,,whtflip ? why cant a rogers costemor get a freaking straight answer is it 100 a month or 5 thousand a month seriously guys can we at rogers fix the service techs in stores and on phone sales that we are their to buy allreay if an apple costs one dollar then thats the price dont need to get to check out to find out one apple just change to 50 bucks get the picture who ever is traning the services techs sucks in sales and double dealings a foreign exchange program does not apply to straight up sales thanks rogers please can we have straight answers to basic questions thank you !

Didn’t review how to add or delete channels….swithcing from shaw to this service (non service ) was the worst decision ever.. terrible buffer/loss of app then it switches back to reg tv and u have to re install app and resume…also doesn’t have memory of previous channel u were on, and the memory of what was on that channel…just awful….

The XR15 remote, the one that's in this video, is a horrible remote control, absolute trash if elderly or people with arthritis have to use the buttons. Get the XR11 remote, I have bought a few Xfinity xr11 remotes they work a lot better.
