"They'll Never Stop The Simpsons" wasn't a promise.

It was a goddamn *threat*.

It is amazing how "never fear we've got stories for years" sounds more like a threat with each passing year.

I love how Dan didn’t even bother disguising his voice for this song. 😂

This has to be one of the most prophetic things to have ever come out of the Simpsons. It's 2023, and they're still going. More than 700 episodes and 34 seasons with a 35th coming this fall. "They'll never stop the Simpsons" indeed...

It’s funny that we’re 21 years later and the show is still on, before the song, a lot of my friends were actually worried this was the last episode!

Amazing that Dan Castellaneta is also a terrific singer. The world is blessed with such a talented talented man.

This wasn’t a song. It was a threat and a warning.

The Simpsons is known for predicting many future events but I had no idea they predicted their own future at one point

2002: Show make fun of dumb plots like Marge becomes a robot, Moe gets a cell phone, the family getting a bear and Selma & Grandpa marrying

2004: the Simpsons get a bear
2006: Selma marries Grandma
2011: Moe gets a cell phone
2019: Marge becomes a robot

Ok, now the show can end

Renewed. Again. Seasons 33 & 34 - had to come listen to this timeless classic!

They said 20 years ago that they'd have stories for years ago and Season 35 is due this autumn. This song was in Season 13, it's now been longer since the song than between the start of the show and the song. As much as the show most definitely should've ended by now, there is a nice charm to see it still around and at this point I just want to see how long the show will last. I saw another commenter say about how they use AI for Marge's voice (I don't know how true this is as I don't keep up with this show anymore) and I'm starting to think they really will never stop The Simpsons. They really did have stories for years

It's taken me this long to realize that the reason Moe is looking so angry at his cell phone is most likely because of a prank call. All these years I just thought that he was mad because he didn't know how to use it or something

Ullman shorts,
Christmas show,
Marge's fling,
Homer's bro,
Bart in well,
Flanders fails,
Whacking snakes,
Monorail,
Mr Plow,
Homer space,
Sideshow Bob steps on rakes,
Lisa's future,
Selma's hubby,
Marge not proud,
Homer chubby,
Homer worries Bart is gay,
Poochie, U2, NRA,
Hippies, Vagas and Japan,
Octuplets,
And Bart's boy band,
Marge murmers,
Maude croaks,
Lisa Buddihst,
Homer tokes,
Maggie blows Burns away,
What else do I have to say?
They'll never stop The Simpsons,
Have no fears, we've got stories for years,
Like - Marge becomes a robot,
Maybe Moe gets a cell-phone,
Has Bart ever owned a bear,
Or, how 'bout a crazy wedding?
And something happens a do-do-do-do-doooo,
Sorry for the clip-show,
Have no fears, we've got stories for years.
