When my grandma passed this summer, she had a necklace with a large heart made of metal. When my mom brought it home, it was still warm from her body. ❤

My mom passed away on Christmas eve I was sad but because I saw your page I understood a whole lot about the end of life. Thank you and keep doing what you do.

When I was 17 I almost got kicked out of the ICU because I had a full blown temper tantrum because they wanted to give my grandmother a Tylenol suppository, the machines were the only thing keeping her breathing and we were just waiting for my grandfather to get there so he could say goodbye and they were "concerned" about her fever🤯. I'm pretty sure the fever was the least of our problems.

Nurse Penny. Thank you, I am fairly familiar with what it looks like when a person is about to die, but you are educating me beyond. God Bless you and your very important work.

It’s very normal - I remember as a student nurse seeing this and I was worried but the district nurse explained to me that when the brain is dying you simply can’t regulate your own temp - a little bit like a fridge going on the blink (excuse me her words not mine) it’s perfectly normal and the best thing are cold compresses on the forehead and inner arms and a fan - thin sheets on the person and it will pass
