Carl Espen is the winner of the Norwegian ESC finals 2014, and will represent Norway in the Eurovision finals in Copenhagen on May 10th 2014. He is performing the ballad "Silent Storm", written exclusively for him by his cousin Josefin Winther.

This is probably the first time, in my 5 years of watching Eurovision, that I have genuinely got emotional listening to a Eurovision song. This is such a haunting and beautiful song, that literally out classes all the other entries by a country mile. Yes, Carl doesn't sing it perfectly live but man, he has got emotion. His voice is so raw and pure, it makes the song sound genuine. Please Norway, vote for this incredible song to represent your beautiful country. 12 points from the UK.

My older sister suggested this song be played at our younger sister's funeral. It was. She was profounsly deaf and had heart surgery. She did kind things, and self-harming things with her hands.
This song meant a lot to me, and others I'm sure.
